At GrayPorter, we bridge the gap between global pricing and local peace of mind. Whether you purchase an Official Regional Model or an International Direct Model, your equipment is backed by our 1-Year Elite Warranty. We operate as a registered corporation with dedicated logistics and support hubs in the USA (California and Memphis), UK (Aylesbury).
1. Universal Coverage (USA, UK, & EU)
We provide a seamless warranty experience for our customers across three continents.
- Official Regional Models: Covered by the standard Manufacturer’s Warranty. We act as your liaison to ensure the brand’s local service centers prioritize your repair.
- International Direct Models: To provide you with the lowest prices globally, these models may bypass local regional warranties. GrayPorter assumes the role of the warrantor. We provide an 1-year coverage plan that at the bear minimum matches the manufacturer's term (normally improves on them) managed entirely by our regional support teams.
2. Who is GrayPorter? (Stability & Reliability)
We are not a "marketplace" of anonymous sellers. GrayPorter is a structured entity with physical inventory and a long-term commitment to the photography community.
- USA: Headquartered in Escondido, California. USA with primary distribution in Memphis, TN.
- UK/EU: Registered Limited Company 1035733 (D2C Capital LTD) operations with UK/EU return hubs in Aylesbury UK.
- We have the financial stability and operational history to ensure that if you need a repair six months or six years from now, we are here to answer the phone.
3. The "Gold Standard" Repair Process
- Expertise: All repairs are performed by Factory-Authorized Service Centers. Your gear is handled by brand-specialist technicians—never uncertified shops.
- Parts: We strictly mandate the use of 100% Original Manufacturer (OEM) Parts. We never permit the use of "equivalent" or third-party components.
- Logistics: If your product develops a defect under warranty, we provide a pre-paid shipping label from your location (USA, UK, or EU) to our nearest authorized service hub.
WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS (THE SPECIFICS)
What is Covered: This warranty covers all manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery. If a hardware failure occurs during normal, intended use, GrayPorter will, at its discretion, repair or replace the unit using genuine parts at no cost to the customer.
What is Not Covered: To maintain our ability to offer the lowest prices on the market, this warranty does not cover (unless specifically mentioned on your invoice):
- Accidental Damage: Drops, impacts, crushed components, or cracked screens.
- Environmental Damage: Water/liquid ingress, sand, dirt, or extreme heat/moisture exposure.
- Misuse: Damage caused by unauthorized firmware "hacks," third-party battery leaks, or using the product outside of manufacturer-specified parameters.
- Consumables: Normal wear and tear on rubber grips, battery life degradation, or cosmetic scratches.
- Unauthorized Service: Any attempt to repair the device by a non-authorized third party voids this warranty immediately.
The Claim Process:
- Initiate: Contact us at customerservice@grayporter.com with your order number and a brief description/photo of the issue.
- Evaluate: Our technical team will provide a remote assessment within 24–48 hours.
- Ship: Once approved, we will issue a Pre-Paid Shipping Label for you to send the item to our nearest regional hub (USA, UK, or EU).
- Repair & Return: We coordinate the repair with factory technicians and ship the item back to you at our expense.
Limitation of Liability: GrayPorter is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or missed photo/video opportunities resulting from equipment failure. We highly recommend maintaining a backup workflow for professional assignments.
